Dry on the Fly Bucket Hat

At the moment, the Dry on the Fly Bucket Hat from Duluth Trading Company is my favorite hat. I’m wearing it in size S/M and it fits perfectly. Usually, I have an issue with hats. My hair is very thick and when I put a hat on my head, it instantly pops up and doesn’t want to stay down. This hat stays down the entire time I’m wearing it.

Weighing in at 3.2 ounces, it’s feather weight. I use it for beach days, boat outings and in the garden.

I don’t have to worry about getting it wet because the combination nylon/polyester fabric dries super fast. Most importantly, my face is shaded from the harsh sun and protected with UPF 50+ sun protection infused fabric.

I can fold it or crush it and stash it in a beach bag, boat tote or pocket–it bounces right back wrinkle-free. I throw it in the wash when I get home.

And I don’t have to worry about losing it while out on a boat, I pull the toggle on the chin strap and the hat won’t fly away on me.

The hat is so popular that it’s sold out. However, Duluth Trading Co has a range of hats in various styles for men and women.

Duluth Trading Co provided this product for me for review. I don’t endorse any product sent to me unless I personally approve of it.

  1. I’ll have to look into this one. I have a wide brimmed hat I wear when driving in my convertible. Sis insisted I wear something to protect my face from the sun so I found one on Sierra Trading. It also has a chin strap s it won’t blow away with a gust.

    Thanks for the tip.

    1. The brim on this hat doesn’t block my vision while driving. Some hats have brims so big that I have to constantly raise my head in order to see. You’ll like this one!
