Staub Cast Iron Tomato Cocotte

When I was at Crate and Barrel yesterday, I spotted Staub’s ripe, red tomato enameled cast iron cocotte. I have a Staub cast iron frying pan which is beyond durable and will last more than a lifetime. So when I saw this whimsical 3 qt, dishwasher-safe and oven-safe cocotte, I added it to my list of must-have kitchen cookware. It’s perfect for slow-cooking roasts and stews, among many other things. Made in France – Price is $149 at Crate and Barrel & $179 at Amazon.

  1. I can’t believe how reasonably priced that is! I was expecting it to be a good deal more costly for something that cute and durable.

  2. Staub and, LeCreuset cook wear is the best. I have several pieces that I collected over the years and this is my go to stuff for my cooking.
Also if you like the LeCreuset there is an outlet at ath Philadelphia Premium outlets off of 422 @ Sanatoga exit. They have great buys.

  3. It looks very heavy. Could you lift the lid on that with one hand?

I’d say check out the outlet store if it’s not to far away.
